Small Green Fox - Conceptual Eyes Exhibition 2011

Hey Foxes,
This is an event from last year, but since a lot of exciting stuff happened then, and this blog is only fresh and new I’m gonna have to use old material. Hope you don’t mind!
Anyway, this from my diploma class’ exhibition in November last year. The night was a whole lot of fun, but for something that takes so long to plan, it ends before you know it.
I had a great class and teachers, we had really fun times. Our official graduation ceremony is in two weeks, so that will be exciting- gowns, caps and all!
As a group the theme was ConceptualEyes, we had to come up with the branding, venue and all that other planning. Then we each had various areas to display our personal works. We had to create an identity and brand for ourself. Small Green Fox is my brand. I chose it because it’s unique and kind of quirky. It means a few different things- it’s kind of like my alter ego. It can be seen as what personality I want myself and my business to represent- small representing humble, green representing being down-to-earth and the lime colour in particular is an odd colour that you can’t help but be fond of. The fox character represents sly and cunning (without the evil stereotype of foxes) solutions to graphic design. The character having Edwardian-esque or just traditional accessories (top hat, monocle, bow tie) a friendly fox that you can trust and that is very easy to get along with. And he’s also kind of like my little graphic design companion- helping me out with design problems and encouraging me. So in a relatively short paragraph, that explains the meaning behind my brand.
By the way, my mum made me my very own real life Small Green Fox- you’ll see him down there. Felting is a really interesting craft- it baffles me, you’ll have to google it. Everyone loved him and I don’t blame them!
Hope you enjoy the photos.

Later Foxes!

Took Chewiie to Queen’s Park today!

Meet Chewiee- the small brown not-so-fox.
It was a great sunny day and the flowers were bright and colourful!
Chewiie even got a bath this morning. It’s a lot of work for such a small dog. And after our walk we went to the pet food shop to stock up his kibble supply. I don’t take him to the park and out on adventures as much as I should, so hopefully the little guy had fun today!
